Kara Copley (third from left) is the owner/lead planner at Kara Morgan Weddings & Events.
We are an event and wedding planning company. We plan weddings from Williamsburg to the OBX and everywhere in between! After seven years of experience and countless weddings, we know that attention to detail is an important part of your special day. We will provide you with undivided attention, expertise and creative ideas to make sure your event is an A+ and everything you ever imagined. Even though we are based in North Carolina and Virginia, our event planning can be extended anywhere you would like!
After interning with a local wedding planning company in 2014, I was immediately intrigued and wanting to learn more about weddings and events. I worked for that company as my side gig for a few more years and decided to branch out on my own in 2018. I love providing people with their dream wedding and helping bring their vision to life through detail and design.
I just love it so much! Working with these couples to make their wedding dreams come true is a truly amazing experience. There is a magical feeling you get when you see the couple’s face light up on their wedding day that is unlike anything else. You are literally a part of a day that this couple will remember forever. There are so many details that have to come together to make a wedding day perfect. We make sure that no detail is forgotten.
We moved here from Chesapeake. We wanted more land and a smaller community. We love this community and the people in it. Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly.
Weddings are not guaranteed. The number of weddings we do each year fluctuates. Especially during COVID with events and weddings being postponed.
We are able to contribute to the success of a couple’s forever memory and bring their wedding dreams into reality.
Our clients get wedding planners who are extremely detail-oriented and work very closely with the bride and groom to make sure their vision comes to life. We do our best to go above and beyond!
To anyone starting a business, go for it! It’s a learning curve at first but it’s worth it if you get to do something you love.
