If you're looking for a less salty and sandy way to cool off in the Outer Banks, it's time to get your swimsuits and sunblock ready...

Opening day for the new H2OBX Waterpark has been set for Wednesday, June 21st: the first day of summer.

According to a release from the park: "H20BX will deliver more than 30 waterslides and attractions, combining several first-to-market and enhanced slides and experiences. Waterslides will offer various degrees of thrills, lengths, drops, turns and intensity. Guests will be able to ride the waves on a Flowrider®, float along an adventure river and stand under an exhilarating 1,000-gallon bucket dump."

“We are very excited to be working with entire Outer Banks community to deliver a world-class waterpark," said Arthur Berry III, H2OBX developer. “H2OBX will further benefit the area through pre-and post opening job creation, and once open. Of equal importance the waterpark offers an exciting new option for vacationers and is poised to bring additional tourism to the area.”
