Now that it's officially Autumn, we'll be seeing more cooler days and falling leaves.
No more triple-digit temperatures. Less weekend traffic.
And one extra special surprise?
No more driving to Elizabeth City or Manteo if you live in Currituck County and need a new license plate or registration.
The county's first-ever license plate agency (LPA) opens today. It's located at 257 Caratoke Highway (Suite E) in Moyock, across the street from Towne Bank and right next door to Sur-Pak.

Allison Nekervis, owner of Sur-Pak, will operate the agency as Currituck Area Holdings, LLC.
LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions. Residents can also get vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations.
Online services such as property tax payments and registration renewals can be completed online at www.MyNCDMV.gov.
