We have called Currituck home since 2002.
Aside from the tranquil atmosphere, probably the genuine people and their sense of community. People here are always willing to help one another.
We know, that with the summer, vast numbers teem our beautiful shores and when winter comes, numbers tend to dip, so we wanted to be both a supplement to local law enforcement as well as an aid and a resource for our fellow residents.
The cooperation and aid that you get from other small business owners. One thing about Currituck and the Outer Banks, in general, is that everyone genuinely wants one another to succeed.
I imagine this is probably the most common answer but, the seasonal nature of the area, workforce, and housing.
Do your research, utilize local resources, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
To raise awareness regarding the demands of the field. Security can be a thankless job because people are often unaware of what it actually entails.
Living here since 2002, we truly consider ourselves to be official locals, and one thing we want to convey, is that we are here to help our fellow locals, whether it be ensuring the security of their businesses or communities.
