How long have you been in business in Currituck County?
This is our second full season in business.
Can you describe your business?
We specialize in exterior cleaning - in particular house siding, driveways, roofs and decks. We utilize a soft-wash method, which starts with applying a solution that kills mold and mildew before we gently rinse it away.
Can you talk about the decision to start the business?
I started my own business with my brother while I was in college and then decided to grow it after I have graduated.
I enjoy working for myself and being able to provide others with a service I specialize in.
Why do you do what you do?
I do what I do because I enjoy learning, growing a business, and the skills, relationships, and experiences that come with it.
Why did you choose Currituck?
I chose Currituck County because I have lived here for the past 21 years and was a Currituck County High School graduate in 2017.
What are your biggest challenges as a business owner?
My biggest challenge as a business owner is learning how to manage time. Not only my time but for others.
What are the biggest rewards?
Time and freedom are the biggest rewards.

If you could start all over again, what would you do differently?
If I could start all over again I would definitely have tried to scale the business faster by upgrading equipment earlier.

Shake a lot of hands.
What would you like to see change in Currituck County?
I would like to see some money put towards restoring the Currituck Sound — all the runoff has killed the grass and the sound doesn’t have as much nature as it used to.
