The Economic Impact of Tourism on Currituck County, NC (VIDEO)

One billion dollars in the Outer Banks.

$250 million in Currituck County.

That's the annual economic impact of visitors to our region and our county.

But that money isn't guaranteed. Other states and destinations are competing for those dollars. And the harder it is for tourists and visitors to get here in the first place, the more likely it is that they'll go somewhere else. 

Wit Tuttel, Vice-President of Tourism with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), explains why that makes infrastructure improvements more urgent than ever.
