North Carolina Boasts Lowest Corporate Tax Rate in Nation... Again

The Tax Foundation has released its rankings of State Corporate Income Tax Rates and Brackets for 2019.

Of the 44 states that levy a corporate income tax, North Carolina boasts the lowest rate at only 2.5% (down from 3% in 2018).

The highest rate (12%) is paid by companies in Iowa.

The NC corporate tax rate has been on a steady decline after a major overhaul of business and individual income taxes in 2013.
